Apparently my car's top speed is 100mph, and that's only "theoretical, without speed governor." However, I got it up to 115 before and it still had room to go if I wanted to risk screwing up the engine. And I didn't even know it had a speed limiter in the first place, so it's not like I removed that.

A lot of the time that stuff is determined by the specification of the original equipment tires rather than how fast it'll actually go. So if you're gonna go 115 in something they said should only do 100, make sure your tires are rated for more than 100, because the originals may not have been.

Fastest I ever got my Scort up to was 105, maybe 110. Scary as hell in that car and one of the stupidest things I've ever done, but that's being 16 for you.
